When Lina finished school, she had no clear plan for her future. Many of her classmates had chosen a university, a career path, or a city to settle in. Lina, however, felt different. She wanted to travel. She believed education did not only happen in a classroom. Life itself could be the greatest teacher.

Lina came from a small town with a quiet background. Her parents worked hard and valued stability. They hoped she would continue her academic study and become a lawyer or a teacher. Lina respected them, but she felt that before choosing a profession, she needed to understand the world.

So she bought a one-way ticket to Italy. With little money and no detailed plan, she began her journey. In Rome, she studied art and history by walking through museums and ancient streets. In Florence, she met travelers from different countries who shared stories about their cultures and struggles. Each conversation became a new lesson.

Later, she volunteered on a farm in Spain. There, she learned responsibility, teamwork, and patience. She realized that education is not limited to books. It grows through experience, mistakes, and reflection.

After a year, Lina returned home. She had no formal degree from her travels, but she had gained confidence and perspective. Her background no longer felt small. Instead, it felt like a strong foundation.


Lina finally decided to begin university study in international relations. This time, she understood why she was studying. Travel had taught her that education is not only about exams; it is about discovering who you are in the wider world.
